Lippstadt, 02 April 2024. The international automotive supplier FORVIA HELLA announces the extension of its FORVIA book donation program to Yongan county, Changchun in Jilin province, following the success of its initial launch in Fuding, Fujian province in 2023. This ongoing initiative reflects the company's commitment to education, caring for the children in rural area and social responsibility, aiming to provide schools with quality teaching resources to enhance children's educational experiences and to promote the cultivation of children’s reading habits.

In continuation of this effort, over 1,300 children's books were donated to the Central Primary School of Sanshengyu Town and the Central Primary School of Huangyuquan Township in Nong'an County, Changchun City, with the establishment of 12 book corners. The chosen books are thoughtfully categorized according to students' grade levels, encompassing a diverse range of subjects such as literature, history, geography, natural science, comprehensive art, and aspects related to children's psychological health and growth. During the book selection process, careful considerations are made regarding factors such as the gender distribution among students, the school's size, existing inventory, and specific demands of the school library. In addition to traditional titles, Science Technology Engineering Art Maths (STEAM) elements are infused into the collection, offering rural children’s opportunities to develop future-ready skills through reading. Moreover, to foster holistic development in children's physical and mental well-being, an increased emphasis is placed on materials covering children's psychological development, child protection, and knowledge related to physiological health. In addition, the donation also includes various experimental teaching equipment and online educational resources. The donation benefits over 1500 students and 130 teaching forces.

Additionally, volunteers from FORVIA China conducted interactive workshops with "children's automotive knowledge" sessions, not only instilling essential automotive principles and also enhancing road safety awareness among students.

Representatives and volunteers from FORVIA China and its sites in Changchun and Shanghai, alongside the headmaster and student representatives from Sanshengyu Town Central Primary School, jointly attended the FORVIA book donation ceremony. “At FORVIA HELLA, we embrace the values of social responsibility and corporate citizenship that define us. Through this meaningful initiative, we are united in our commitment to nurturing the minds and foster spirits of future generations. We aimed not only to donate books but also to sow the seeds of knowledge and cultivate a thriving educational ecosystem within the local community”, says Cola Wang, Director Corporate Human Resources China at FORVIA HELLA, during her speech at the book donation ceremony. “Moving forward, we maintain our steadfast resolve to champion initiatives that promote positive social change and uplift those in need.”
