HELLA Regional Headquarter has been Upgraded to Showcase Strong Commitment to China

The new office strengthens central administrative functions and is an important foundation for HELLA’s future growth path in China

Shanghai, December 8, 2017. The lighting and electronics expert HELLA is strengthening its central functions in China by relocating its headquarter. The new office has a total floor space of some 4,500 square meters in a brand new and modern building, located in Zhangjiang High-Tec zone. HELLA is currently employing about 300 employees in its regional headquarter in Shanghai. The number will continuously increase to support expanded business requirement. The new office provides a more convenient state-of-the-art working environment.

Daily communication efficiency also increased as all functional departments are centrally allocated under one roof.” As a regional headquarter to the Chinese market, it houses central functions such as Purchasing, Sales and Marketing, Information Management as well as Finance and Controlling, Human Resources and Quality Management.

In addition to the relocation of the regional Shanghai headquarter, HELLA is significantly investing in expanding its network in China as well as on a global level. The joint venture Beijing HELLA BHAP Automotive Lighting has recently opened a new lighting plant near the Chinese city of Tianjin, serving the increasing demand for lighting systems by local customers. Furthermore, HELLA is expanding electronics production in Shanghai, aiming at fulfilling existing customer orders and serve the Chinese market's growing demand for innovative electronics solutions. Also, HELLA is currently building up new electronics plants in Mexico, India and Lithuania and is further developing its global company headquarters in Germany.
