The Behr Hella Service joint venture makes a wide range of vehicle air conditioning and engine cooling parts and services available to customers: More than 1,000 articles provide a high market coverage; service parts round off the complete Thermal Management range. Customers benefit from the know-how of the partners Behr and Hella as well as from the high levels of expertise in parts supplies and the provision of technical information and training - both for the independent aftermarket and for garages. This special customer and service orientation is mainly secured by the international Hella sales organization. This means that the product range and competences of the two partners complement each other perfectly for customers: Hella's worldwide sales organization plus Behr's OE product know-how as well as the linking of activities in the area of vehicle air conditioning and engine cooling. All in all, this is a consistent further development of the previous cooperation between Behr and Hella in climate control and frontend modules.

Behr, specialist for vehicle air conditioning and engine cooling, and Hella, automotive supplier for components and systems for lighting technology and electronics, are founding a joint venture for the joint processing of the global independent aftermarket for vehicle air conditioning and engine cooling. In this venture, the activities of Behr Service in the area of air conditioning and cooling have been consolidated with the air conditioning business of the Hella sales organization and been channelled into a new company with headquarters in Schwäbisch Hall. Behr and Hella each have a 50% share in the joint venture. The managing directors of the new company Behr Hella Service are Jürgen Laucher, who also remains managing director of Behr Service GmbH, and Dr. Joachim Damasky, who also remains responsible for the Product Division Electrics/Electronics and Air Conditioning in the Hella Aftermarket Business Unit.

Behr Thermot-tronic GmbH is another company that Hella has a very close relationship with. Their core competence lies in the development and production of thermostatic control systems for automotive and industrial applications. They have gained the world-wide reputation of being an innovative and reliable partner for their customers. Their automotive applications consist of
- Temperature and situation-dependant control of air, coolant and oil flows in combustion engines and units,
- Recording of the exact temperature of fluids
- Provision of temperature information for other vehicle function.
