The condenser is required to cool down the refrigerant heated up
by compression in the compressor. The hot refrigerant gas flows
into the compressor, thereby dissipating heat to the
environment via the pipeline and fins. As it cools, the refrigerant
pressure falls and the refrigerant state changes from gaseous to
liquid. The condenser is positioned in front of the engine radiator.
Soldered flat pipe condensers have established themselves on the
market on account of their high capacity and low design depth. In
vehicle building, logistics and assembly expenditure can be significantly
reduced by a condenser module. This forms a solder-connected
unit comprising a flat-pipe condenser and a
collection/recovery bottle with integrated dryer. Due to the special
installation location, soiling or gravel damage can cause
environment-related failure, for example faults caused by
head-on collisions are particularly frequent..
