Hella, Inc. Announces the Appointment of Carl Brown
Peachtree City, GA, ? Hella, Inc., the North American aftermarket subsidiary of automotive lighting and electronics supplier Hella, announced the appointment of Carl Brown as President of Hella, Inc. and Director of NAFTA – Aftermarket Region. As President, he will oversee both U.S. and Canada’s OE market and aftermarket. As Director of NAFTA, he will also oversee the Aftermarket for Hellamex – Hella’s sales company in Mexico City.
Carl joined Hella in 2002 as Managing Director for Hella Ltd. in the UK as well as Hella Ireland. He proclaims that his proudest accomplishment in his professional career has been “the change process that we instigated at Hella Ltd over the last 4 years to deliver increased customer service and improve profitability.” Carl began his career in the automotive industry working for Browns Brothers – a major UK automotive wholesaler owned by Dana Corporation (based in Toledo, Ohio). His job positions included marketing and general management roles. He also gained knowledge of the U.S. automotive aftermarket in the late 1980’s while working for Dana Corporation in Toledo. Carl ended his 20-year career with Dana Distribution Europe as Sales and Marketing Director for the UK. When the business was sold to Unipart Group, the leading UK automotive aftermarket distributor, he spent 3 years there as Marketing Director. Carl received his Bachelors Degree in Mathematics & Computing from the University of East Anglia in the UK and his Masters Degree in Management Science from Imperial College in London.
Carl’s dream for the company is “to see Hella, Inc. enjoy the same strong market presence in the NAFTA region that the Hella brand currently has in the European market.”
