Hella develops DC/DC-converters, charge converters and voltage stabilizers in a range of performance of 25 W up to 1000 W for vehicle electrical system structures with two separated 14 V-vehicle electrical systems and dual vehicle electrical systems. The converters are used to optimally charge the batteries in the vehicle electrical system and to secure the availability of the different voltages. The converters can be integrated in vehicle electrical systems at low output powers.
Hella developed a bi-directional DC/DC-converter with an output power of 1000 W and an efficiency factor of 93% for the dual 42 V/14 V-electrical system. If required, higher output powers can be realized by parallel connection of the converters. Additionally, the DC/DC-converter can also be used in vehicle elctrical systems with fuel cell- or mild-hybrid-applications.
