High voltage current sensor (galvanic isolation)

HELLA has also designed a shunt-based high voltage current sensor galvanically isolated that it can be used as a standalone component in full hybrid and EV applications.

ADVANTAGES
  • Precise shunt-based measurement of current within high voltage applications and batteries with insulation
  • Galvanic isolated LIN communication and supply interface
  • Greater accuracy compared to today’s Hall sensors (< 1%)
  • Precise calculation of ampere-hour balance
  • Current consumption < 85 mA
  • High voltage insulation strength class B
  • Insulation resistance > 5 MΩ
