Lippstadt, July 28, 2014. Light and electronics expert HELLA is presenting numerous new products and additions to existing product ranges at Automechanika, the world's leading trade show for automotive businesses, in Frankfurt from September 16th to the 20th, 2014. Trade show visitors will receive a comprehensive overview of the entire product range at the traditional D91 booth location in Hall 3. In addition, HELLA is presenting detailed concepts and diagnostics solutions specifically for professional garage mechanics in Hall 8, Booth M60. The Parts, Tools, Services added value concept introduced in 2012 is forming the core of the trade show presence. It combines the core competence areas of HELLA: A strong product range with more than 40,000 parts in OEM quality (Parts), professional equipment for garage mechanics (Tools) and additional first-class services, from the technical hotline to support for sales (Services). HELLA is using this concept of having everything from a single source to position itself as a skilled and reliable partner of international wholesale trade and independent garages at Automechanika.

The increasing "LEDification" is a predominant topic in the Parts area. HELLA has more than 20 years of experience using LEDs, making the automotive supplier an expert provider of LED headlamps and combination taillights of all kinds. Some of the leading products that HELLA will present at the trade show include the C140 LED—the first full LED combination headlamp—and the Q90 LED worklight. The C140 LED is the first combination headlamp where the light functions have been implemented uniformly using LED technology. The incredibly stable and impact-resistant aluminum die-cast housing, a dispersion lens made of unbreakable plastic and a special heavy duty bracket all mean that the C140 LED can be used even in the toughest conditions. HELLA is setting yet another trend with the new Q90 LED high-performance worklight with plastic cooling elements, a worklight which is offering new opportunities with an eye towards design and weight reduction. Unlike worklights with plastic housings available on the market to date, the new high-performance LED worklight means HELLA is able to attain or even exceed light output comparable to xenon technology, even in incredibly small designs. This involves using special heat-conducting plastics instead of aluminum cooling elements. These plastics perfectly dissipate the heat from the LEDs, ensuring a long design life. In addition, the complete corrosion resistance of the plastics makes up a huge advantage over the aluminum. Furthermore, the Q90 LED worklights are lighter in weight and offer the best conditions for creating flexible solutions when it comes to design. In conjunction with the newly developed glass fibre reinforced plastic brackets, the high-performance LED worklights with plastic cooling elements from HELLA offer even more reliability during day-to-day use. This is accompanied by the Coluna full LED combination taillight for tractors and trailers.

Also in the realm of Parts, HELLA is showcasing new products and additions from its joint ventures, Behr Hella Service and Hella Pagid. For instance, the company is presenting a cross-section of the extensive engine cooling and vehicle air conditioning portfolio from the thermal management experts at Behr Hella Service. Alongside spare thermal management parts for agricultural and construction machinery, the highlights also include products for hybrid vehicles. In addition to an electrically driven refrigerant compressor as well as suitable refrigerant oil, a special storage evaporator is being presented. This evaporator is intended for use in various micro hybrids in summer and during engine stopping phases, such as at traffic lights, to provide a comfortable climate while helping to conserve fuel. Also in relation to wearing parts, the brake specialists at Hella Pagid are presenting the first brake discs and drums with ECE approval. Even though this European regulation is not compulsory until 2016, Hella Pagid is already rolling out products implementing the new technical specifications. The company is presenting new brake tools and the BrakeGuide app at its partner booth in Hall 8.

HELLA uses professional Tools and the corresponding technical service to support garages in every respect throughout the entire repair process. The diagnostics experts at Hella Gutmann Solutions are presenting several innovations in this same area: The "mega macs 56" diagnostic tool, the SEG V digital beam setter and the CSC tool for calibrating the 3D sensors on driver assistance systems. The last of these in particular continues to increase in importance due to the rise of assistance, comfort and convenience functions using these kinds of sensors. The other highlights presented at the trade show booth in Hall 8, Booth M60 include the BPC tool for battery analysis and diagnostics, the TPM tool for the management of tire pressure checking systems and the SLD tool for localizing leaks.

A comprehensive Service selection polishes off the range of services, including extensive technical services, professional training for trade dealers and garages, a skilled technical hotline and technical information available online.
