Lippstadt, July 29, 2014. HELLA demonstrates its technological prowess at this year's Caravan Salon from 29th August to 7th September. The light and electronics expert will be presenting a range of new products due to be launched in March 2015, right on time for the start of the 2016 model season, in Hall 13, Booth A03 at this leading trade show in Düsseldorf for recreational vehicles and caravans. Among the products on show are the innovative Caraluna X universal combination taillight, a new LED auxiliary stop light and LED ring modules for use as taillights and stop lights.
The new Caraluna X is the main attraction at the 80 square meter trade show booth. This innovative universal combination taillight ensures a unique light signature. Different mounting options (vertical, horizontal and 13 degree angle) expand the configuration options. The clear design of the cover lens and the central area with vapor-deposited silver together with the frosted optics give the Caraluna X its high-quality look. In addition to the basic halogen variant, HELLA is offering the Caraluna X with taillight in innovative LED light conducting technology. The lateral integration of four LEDs in the light guide produces a homogenous signal characteristic which means the taillight function stands out particularly well in the dark. Target group manager Peter Wagner at HELLA explains: "Experience has shown that many caravan customers want their vehicle to stand out during the day and at night, as is generally the case with passenger vehicles. The Caraluna X is our answer, also in universal combination taillights." In addition to the technically sophisticated variant with LED taillight, HELLA still also offers a basic halogen variant for entry models.
HELLA is also presenting a further "high-light" in more than one sense; a new extra wide version of the LongLED center high mounted stop lamp. This light line ensures a particularly homogenous illumination and therefore provides the opportunity for accents in the rear design. Similar to the Caraluna X, it comes with the new light conductor technology and therefore offers further scope for design-oriented configuration of recreational vehicles. Available in two different sizes, it can integrate seamlessly into the existing design concept of the vehicle and, as all it requires is glue for mounting and no screws, it can also be attached with the minimum of fuss. The Maxi version of the LongLED, which is 637 millimeters wide, offers around 60 percent more signal volume. The shorter version is 445 millimeters wide.
The established series of modular LED ring modules with clear glass lenses offers additional design elements for customizing and upgrading individual vehicles and entire model series. This existing module family has been extended to include a new combination tail and stop light with LED light conductor technology.
