Beacon K-LED 2.0 with rotating and flashing warning signal // online tool ELIVER expanded to include the category "Beacons and optical warning systems"

Lippstadt, May 06, 2013. At the IFBA, the international trade exhibition for recovery and towing, from May 15 to 17, 2013 in Kassel, lighting specialist HELLA is presenting lighting products for municipal special-purpose vehicles (ProLux Hall). This year's highlights are the innovative LED beacon K-LED 2.0 plus the expanded online tool ELIVER.

The new K-LED 2.0 is the first beacon from HELLA that allows the driver to choose between a rotating or flashing warning signal, either by program or using a switch. There are 16 different types of alarm signal available, 14 flashing and two rotating frequencies, as appropriate for the vehicle's operating permit. Optimum illumination of the surroundings and fast signal recognition are provided by 20 high-power LEDs and a special reflector. The integrated light sensor determines the ambient light and uses this data to adapt the brightness of the beacon automatically (day and night mode). This ensures an optimum warning effectiveness by day, whilst reducing the brightness at night, so as not to dazzle road-users. Because of its innovative LED technology the lamp has a power consumption of just 30W, is maintenance free and eminently suitable for continuous use. It also fulfills protection class IP 67 (international protection), which means that it is dust-proof and can tolerate being briefly submerged in water. The K-LED 2.0 beacon is ECE R65-certified, is compliant with the standards on electrical interference ECE R-10 conducted disturbances class 5 (CISPR25) and approved for hazardous goods transport in accordance with GGVSE (German regulations on the carriage of dangerous goods by road and rail)/ADR.

A further highlight is the tool ELIVER, which has been expanded to include the category "Beacons and optical warning systems". This tool provides an optimal way of testing and comparing the light distribution of work lights and auxiliary lights - and now also beacons and optical warning systems. At HELLA's stand, visitors to the fair can create customized configurations and check the light distribution of the featured products. ELIVER is also available on our websites and
