Lippstadt, October 02, 2013. Lighting expert HELLA is presenting its innovative and extensive range of LED lighting for various requirements in the airport industry sector at Interairport Europe, the international trade show for airport equipment, technology, design and service being held in Munich from October 8th to 11th, 2013. The focus at Booth 1310 in Hall B5 is on systems for illuminating aprons as well as takeoff, landing and taxiing runways. In addition, visitors to the trade show can learn about industrial and street lighting alongside solutions from HELLA for special purpose and emergency vehicles.
HELLA has rounded out its product portfolio and offers its entire range of lighting systems with the highest standard of LEDs. This makes the lighting expert the first complete system provider to implement all of its lighting elements using the newest LED technology. By including product groups such as controllers, transformers and control systems, HELLA is also in a position to offer complete solutions for end customers. Visitors to the trade show can learn about the newest LED lamps at HELLA's booth. This includes innovations like runway threshold lights, combined threshold end lights, omni-directional taxiway marker lights and high-intensity elevated runway edge lights. The first LED flashing light on the market for the approach area is being presented as a special highlight. HELLA puts its focus on innovative LED technology due to significantly decreased power consumption and low maintenance compared to conventional halogen technology. In addition, the technology features optimal illumination and very easily identifiable, intense colors, providing significantly increased safety on airfields.
At the Interairport Europe in Munich, HELLA is also presenting LED solutions for lighting approaches, parking garages and industrial buildings on airport grounds in addition to systems for lighting airfields. For instance, the IL2 Plus light line system is absolutely ideal for uniform lighting for industrial buildings. Due to its modular design, it can be adapted to requirements in different application areas. Various run lengths, different optics and the modular design ensure high adaptability, easy installation, tailored light distribution and uniform lighting.
Another focal point of HELLA's trade show appearance centers on lighting for special purpose and emergency vehicles at airports. In addition to worklights, taillights, visual warning systems and solutions from the areas of actuators and sensors, the light expert is presenting the K-LED 2.0 beacon. The extremely durable and flat LED beacon is ideal for use in airport applications. It is the first beacon from HELLA that allows the driver to choose between a rotating or flashing warning signal, either via a switch or through programming. The integrated light sensor determines the ambient light and uses this data to adapt the brightness of the beacon automatically (day and night mode). This ensures the best warning effectiveness by day, while reducing brightness at night to avoid blinding drivers or ground personnel.
