"After training as an optician I started a degree course in ophthalmic optics/optometry in the SciTec department at the University of Applied Sciences in Jena. I then came to HELLA as part of my compulsory internship, which I liked so much that I decided to immediately complete a further voluntary internship here. After that, HELLA also enabled me to write my bachelor’s thesis here.
During my internship at HELLA I was employed in the area "lighting development of LED projection modules in headlights", and I am now working there on the structuring of lens surfaces. This includes not only the mathematical description but also simulation and evaluation.
My colleagues are very helpful and accepted me right from the beginning. So I quickly found myself involved in their day-to-day activities, from the very first day getting to know many colleagues and gaining insight into the very different subjects and processes of one of the largest automotive suppliers. And it was super that HELLA gave me the use of a furnished room in a shared apartment for the duration of my internship."
