By introducing LEDs in interior vehicle lighting, Hella offers new ways of stage lighting for vehicle interiors. The use of ambient lighting creates an individual and relaxed atmosphere and helps orientation in the vehicle. Based on physiological and psychological research, we develop light that gives drivers and passengers a maximum feeling of wellbeing. This type of interior lighting allows comfortable and safe travel.
Like a driver assistance system, Hella's interior lighting automatically adapts to the environment and supports the requirements of both drivers and passengers. Capacitive and optical sensors are used as contactless sensors. First applications have already been realised in series-produced vehicles. In the near future, new styling approaches will combine interior lighting with touchless sensors and OLED as light sources.
To a much greater extent than is currently the case, interior lights developed by Hella will be used as light sculptures in the vehicle interiors of the future to underline the styling and brand image of the vehicle.
