Customer satisfaction based on quality in every aspect of a product is a decisive factor for success, now more than ever before.  

The corporate strategy of the international Hella Group has set its sights on three goals:

  • Offering customers first-class products and services at competitive prices.
  • Providing employees with opportunities for dedicated, successful and personally satisfying work.
  • Gaining and maintaining a position as a first-class supplier.

In order to realize these targets, we are focusing on the respective product group and its special applications. We translate the individual needs of customers into quality requirements. Thanks to close cooperation with customers and thanks to internal improvement activities we increase the quality of our products constantly.

International quality management

The modern quality management method used in the entire Hella Group is an essential component of the concept of STRATEGIC QUALITY. It represents one of the mainstays of corporate success. Certifications acc. to DIN EN ISO 9001, VDA 6.1 and QS 9000, awarded by the Federal German Motor Vehicle Office (KBA) and the TÜV Rheinland, confirm our quality capacity and proves that our corporate methods are under structured control. A number of audits are also carried out by well-known German and foreign automobile Manufacturers with positive results. External benchmarking studies comparing Hella with all of its important competitors also confirm the leading position of our corporation, regarding both development standard and quality performance, i.e. practical realization of our quality management system goals.

The target is: zero errors.

Quality means the uncompromising realization of all product characteristics and properties agreed on with the customer. The target is zero errors in supply quality throughout the life of the product and for all Hella services. To ensure compliance with these demands and guarantee customers consistent high quality in every respect, we at Hella plan our product quality management down to the last detail during the development stage using carefully selected="selected" methods. This is done regardless of whether later production is to be done at Hella or at supplier locations and also covers all material used. Following production runup, series quality is ensured and continuously improved by means of accompanying quality monitoring and testing. The quality awareness and expertise of our employees resulting from through education and training plays a central role in this process. For Hella, quality performance is a combination of individual obligation and the results of teamwork. Meeting customer demands and fulfilment of internal quality targets are factors that enjoy the very highest levels of company priority on the basis of the principle that systematic and continuous improvement is only possible on the basis of concretely measured data. Our systematic quality/development process aims at zero errors.
